Anthony…thanks for featuring GrandmasterB on your site. I am really surprised by the response from the blogging community regarding the design of the site. The site has now been featured on two sites for it’s design (here and WP-Premiums)…I am truly honored.
To say the the site is a customized version of the Milk-It theme is partially accurate. It was inspired by the design, but I didn’t use the purchased theme for the code or layout…I did however sneak peaks of the CSS with the Web Developer Plugin for Firefox!
It was designed in Photoshop and took me approximately 12 hours to finish. I used a variety of vector objects from the GoMedia Arsenal and some random textures for the header background. The “GrandmasterB” graffiti tag was done by me about 3 years ago in Illustrator. I did it with a calligraphy brush set and a Wacom tablet. After a few tries getting the strokes down I stacked three separate layers together and colored them their own shade of blue. Each section of the site was designed to allow me to change, update or even customize for designing future sites using the theme (which I just completed my second theme).
The coding was the most difficult part of the process, because this was my first WordPress theme design. I checked a few tutorials to see how it was all put together, and after a weekend of tinkering I was able to get it all pieced together correctly and customized the style sheets.
Overall it took me about a week to get everything done to launch the site (I went live on March 17th). I’m not sure what my next move will be with the site. Right now I’m content with writing articles, but eventually I’d like to market my design services to the masses.

I must say GrandmasterB is one of the best out there. The first time I went to his site was through google(I forgot what I was looking for) it wasn’t even a full 5mins before I subscribe to his RSS feed. We will be talking about his designs for years to come.
